Tournament Format

There are 3 separate one-day tournaments (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Regular, Multibreed, and Open classes are unlimited.

Classes offered:

  • Classic Regular
  • Classic Multibreed
  • Classic Open
  • CanAm Regular (Sunday only … teams must qualify)
  • CanAm Multibreed (Sunday only … teams must qualify)

Reminders

  • Mandatory measuring is in effect as outlined in the rulebook in section 4.2.
  • With the permission of the Tournament Director and Regional Director for cause shown, a team entered in a regular or nonregular class may be converted from its original status to a performance team entry prior to the start of the tournament. When a team in the Regular Class or Multibreed Class declares performance, jump heights shall be set at any height not below the minimum and not exceeding the maximum height stated in Section 8.2 – Jump Heights (RR).
  • Racing schedules will be created without regard to dogs that may be listed on more than one timesheet.

Classic Regular & Multibreed Class

  • Expect 4 races per day.
  • The number of entries received may alter the format.
  • A team must have raced on Saturday to be eligible to race on Sunday in both the Classic Regular class and Classic Multibreed class.
  • Only Saturday Classic Regular entries are eligible for invitation to the CanAm Regular class.
  • Only Saturday Classic Multibreed entries are eligible for invitation to the CanAm Multibreed class.
  • Performance teams in the Regular or Multibreed Class on Saturday will be seeded into Sunday’s Classic Regular or Classic Multibreed class as a Performance team. They will be seeded using the fastest time run on Saturday.
  • Performance teams, teams running FEO, and teams which forfeit a race for any reason on Saturday shall not be invited to compete in the CanAm Regular or CanAm Multibreed class.
  • Teams will be seeded into the Sunday’s Classic Classes based on fastest time recorded on Saturday. Teams which fail to post a time on Saturday will be seeded with a time of 95 seconds.
  • On Sunday, any team posting a breakout time is ineligible for divisional placement.
  • Team names in Regular and Multibreed classes may not change from Saturday to Sunday.

Open Class

  • Our goal is 4 races per day.
  • Teams are NOT eligible for invitation into the CanAm Regular or CanAm Multibreed class.
  • Racing schedules will be created without regard to dogs that may be listed on more than one timesheet.
